Hello, and welcome to my web site.

My passion for yoga,
which I was introduced to at the age of 11, had hit a turning point. I knew
that it was time to dedicate my life to live out my yogic values by enrolling in
a yoga teacher training course. Just when this plan was falling into place, a
week after getting accepted into Vidya Institute (http://www.vidyainstitute.com/)
I was blessed with the discovery that I was pregnant. The universe throws me a
curve ball again! I approached my teacher to share this blissful news with her
wondering what her reaction would be in terms of integrating this news with my
goal of becoming a yoga teacher. Without even blinking she looked at me and
said, “Yoga is life and so is motherhood. We will find the needed balance.”
It is with this
inspiration that I pursue my teaching. Yoga is life, and we will find a balance
for practice with all the other demands that are asked of us. I couldn’t think
of a better gift to be given during my pregnancy and as I entered motherhood
than yoga. For this reason, I hope to share the knowledge I have been privilege
with other parents. I wish to spread the message with others that a balance can
be had. I hope to offer classes to parents where they are welcomed to bring
their children. We will practice yoga within the rhythm of parenthood. It
might not be silent and we might have little hands on our backs or children on
our hips during certain postures, but it is what it is. Also, I think it’s
important to have classes for those times when parents, and others alike, need
their own time to unwind and become grounded from the busyness that life
brings.
Please feel free to
contact me with your questions, comments, stories and inspirations. I look
forward to learning from one and other.
Peace
Emma
